Financial preparedness and financial literacy for low income sectors by MAPFRE Insular Insurance Corporation.


Kabuhayan at Kinabukasan Alay ng MAPFRE sa Pinoy (KaKAMPi) Microinsurance, a program launched by MAPFRE Insular Insurance Corporation as part of their advocacy in helping the low-income sector to be  financially prepared and literate.

They had their inauguration of their two community offices last March 29, 2015 at the Villa Erlinda Town Homes Sarmiento St., Brgy. Novaliches Proper, Q.C. and at the 367 Litex Road, Brgy. Commonwealth, Q.C. In these offices our fellow Filipino may benefit from Mapfre Insular’s Microinsurance products and learn more information about the basics of protecting their family from financial stress.

In this program, policyholders will have the opportunity to be free from financial burden of coping with cost associated with the unexpected death in the family. It also aims to ensure that Filipino low income earners to be prepared in any of life’s unanticipated financial difficulties.

This program is a collaboration of various stakeholders, which include the Quezon City local government through its Sikap Buhay Entrepreneur and Cooperative Office, and German Development Cooperation (GIZ), and The Insular Life Assurance Company Ltd., Inc.

  1. It is a good thing that low income earners are given a chance to take a huge leap in overcoming financial burden. This is particularly important when there is an unexpected death from the family.
